mission trip with Karen
SUMIYOThe summer camp and mission trip with Karen….it was impossible for us to forget these precious days, because my sons and I started to see God’s glad heart and pleasure. Especially for my first son, Masahiro…God has encountered and touched his whole being through these days. Our leaders always see children as best friends, respect them as though they were adults, train them in His way so uniquely…that makes kids attract to them! During these days Masahiro has totally changed. After the camp I met him, I was able to tell the difference He was changing inside out, yes, it is like overflowing His love, he is no longer dead person( of course in spirit)! I mean his heart was melted by His love and Presence and His people. Karen is so good at hosting Holy Spirit to lead visitation to children. She understands that anybody who has simple heart and faith…especially children can encounter GOD so powerfully. Only in meeting God can people’s hearts change sweetly. My three sons have experienced how God is gentle and fun through this camp and trip. They started knowing how exciting thing to show His love and pray for other people passionately.
I was nine years old
ETHANThis is my testimony when I went on the mission trip in 2008. I was nine years old at the time. The first stop we made in Virginia, me, Mrs. Tomita, and another girl on the trip saw a vision of crystals. None of us knew what it meant until the next day when a group of people found a tunnel of crystals. In Washington DC , we went to the Capitol building, the Lincoln Memorial, and met this group of people there in their late teens early twenties. In Baltimore, we went to the middle of the street and did a dance routine in front of a random crowd. They were all looking at us. That is my testimony of the mission trip in 2008.
An Awesome Season
WENDYWhat an awesome season we walked through with our kids while they participated in the kid’s mission program at our church. I think a big lesson that they learned is that the Holy Spirit isn’t pint sized in them. The same Holy Spirit that they see move in adults moves also in them! That was proved to them on our mission trips when the kids would lay hands on other children and adults. We witnessed adults falling out in the spirit and weeping as these kids, pure in heart, laid their hands on these people and prayed for them, believing for a mighty move and healing. We watched the kids learn to play instruments, mostly self taught, and put a band together to lead worship. Other kids used their voices and took their worship team on the mission trip. It is amazing to see your children raise their hands to Almighty God in praise and adoration, demonstrating their love and devotion to their Lord and Savior. Our kids are serving the Lord today; one is a worship leader for the teen department at our church, another plays bass, and another plays keyboard when his college schedule and the opportunity present itself. Our oldest, in the military, played drums for a season for a church on his base. God has been so faithful to instill in our children a love for Him and a knowledge and understanding of the power in His name!!
